Questions:
SBB: James, if you have to chose
between skiing for vacation or a tropical cruise what would you choose?
James:There's
something about the water that soothes me, so I'd go for a cruise any time.
Especially since I get to see Quinn in her bikini. That's a no brainer!
SBB: If Quinn told you
that she wanted a gift from you for her birthday that you spent NO money on,
what would you get her?
James:Easy.
Quinn is the first woman I've met who doesn't give a crap how much money I
have. I'd paint her a special picture - something she can look at every day and
know how much I want her. How nuts I am about her and what's she done for me.
SBB: Tell me about your
ideal day...
James:Us
together on my boat. Simple. That's all I need lately. The movement of the
water, the sun and sky overhead, and Quinn by my side. Crap, I sound pussy
whipped don't I?
SBB: Quinn, what three things
would you take on a deserted island?
Quinn:Hmm.
Ipod with a bunch of batteries so music is never far from me. My suntan lotion
because I burn all the time. And James. Not much else is needed.
SBB: What is the most
outrageous thing you have ever done? What is the most outrageous thing you
think James has ever done?
Quinn:God,
I'm so lame. I haven't done anything really crazy in my life, I'm always taking
care of people. So I'd say I got crazy when I finally met James and gave him my
underwear. I never felt so naked in my life, and so hot when I caught him
staring at me, knowing I was ready for him. As for James, he's done so much I can't
even imagine. In fact, I don't want to know! We're together now and it's a
clean slate. The only outrageous things he'll be doing from now on will
hopefully be with me!
Quinn:Anything
that speaks to him. Something that reminds him of me. That would be the best
gift in the world.
SBB:Jennifer, what was the
most challenging thing about writing a story with characters in other stories
that you didn't write?
Jennifer: This
was the first time I've written something where my characters will turn up in
other books! But I can't lie, it was super easy - probably because of the
writers I chose to be with. We had fun, and we respected each others creativity.
If I wanted to do something in a scene, Jenna and Jen would immediately try and
help me fit it in, and vice versa. And it was a blast reading about Quinn and
James in the other two books!
SBB:I loved this
adventure into the new adult genre, and I think you did a wonderful job, was it
harder than what you have written in the past?
Jennifer: Yes
and no. I freaked a bit when I decided I'd try first person POV - that is not
my comfort zone. But I love learning and stretching as a writer, so I took the
leap and checked in with Jen and Jenna to make sure it sounded good. Then I did
something I rarely get to do - I played! We decided we'd have fun with this
project and just let our creativity flow. I love the new adult genre and wanted
to do it my way - in my voice - not as a copycat of some other fantastic books
I've read. This series is different and I'm so proud of it!
SBB:Have you ever
been to Key West for Spring Break?
Jennifer: Not
for spring break exactly but I did go for a week with my girlfriend in June and
it was wild! That's why I had a blast revisiting Key West - it made an
impression on me with its character and unique traits! And I did drink Sex on
the beach cocktails there too lol!!!
